For my final project I wanted to create a microphone stand, particularly one that when not in use, isn't just a piece of technology I put away and let gather dust but can actually function as a nice desk decoration. My first step consisted of gathering images and reference material, sketching out what I wanted to create and how it would all fit together. Other than the lighthouse itself as a visual look, the most important piece was the one that would attach to the microphone itself, which I measured and did a test print of bellow. Though imperfect, it came out much better than I expected, the key flaws being that I neglected to take into account some protruding branding on the back making the fit far tighter than intended, which I will have to amend in future adjustments. My biggest regret is not giving myself enough time to print off this piece, the lighthouse itself ending up to be very big comparatively and had a far bigger printing time that I estimated, leading to it being un...
