OBDF 210A - ASSIGNMENT [01.) CASTLE] - Jayden (Gillian) Nese
For my castle I decided to make a candy cake inspired off of the candy kingdom from Adventure Time. I got the idea because while playing around with moving shapes in class I
put a ball on top of a cone and thought it would be fun to go in a more playful direction for the project. I'm rather bad at geometric shapes and creating mechanical designs such as architecture in a way that looks like it makes sense in the world so letting myself have an easier introduction to 3D modeling felt far less scary.

I think I was most successful in the smaller assets that I created for this project, things like the popsicles and chocolate bar all came out really well, though my weakest point I find is the icing as it doesn't look all that convincing as a colored tube rather than having that organic cresting proper piping does. As much as I wanted to implement this, I'm still learning and am very new and had no idea where to start otherwise.
The biggest struggle for me was simply the learning curve that comes with never having used this program before, it's been a few years since I worked with 3D and even then it was never with Rhino, but once the frustration settled and I learned how to use the tools it was actually incredibly fun and I'm honestly a lot happier with this project than I thought I would be by the end.
